Beakuency: Meet Bird People in Columbia County!
Despite the divisive times we live in, the Columbia County birding community has worked together across party lines to protect birds. Beakuency: Meet Bird People in Columbia County! is an art zine that celebrates the powerful connection that birds create for us, regardless of our other differences, and highlights and advocates for such alliances that are emerging at the local level. It features interviews with local birders and illustrations inspired by their stories. Topics include local citizen science projects, birding tips, and actions community members can take to help birds in our county.
